Engage Christian Center

We have had several missionary families staying at the Engage Christian Center for extended stays of several months or more. We are excited to report that they are very happy and pleased with their decision to stay at the Engage facility. After years in persecuted areas, the solitude, peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of Engage is exactly what they needed to recharge spiritually, mentally and physically, before travelling to their next mission field. While they are always happy to share their mission experience with others, sometimes they just need that private time together as a family. There are other mission bases in the US and Texas they could stay at, but this gives them the ability to relax, reflect and meditate on God’s next plan for them. Our 70 acres and Scripture Hiking Trails through the woods, are beautiful reminders of God’s creation at it’s best.

The Engage Mission Experience is designed to provide a three-dimensional exposure to missions: through those who have been in the mission field, through the world renowned material of “Pathlight – Toward Global Awareness”*, and through the opportunity to personally visit the mission field of Northeast Asia.

Engage has now set-up two Scripture Hiking Trails on our heavily wooded walking trails. You might be asking, “What’s a Scripture Hiking Trail anyway?” It’s a way to hike through the beautiful trails on our 107 acres of  serene East Texas woods, with God as your companion. In the warm summer, the trees make a shaded canopy to cool things down a little. And while you are exercising for your physical health, you can be exercising your spirituality and becoming closer to God. The Gospel of John and the Gospel of Mark Scripture Trails have verses from those Gospels posted along the trail, along with thoughts or questions for deeper consideration. Relax and meditate with God along the trail by yourself or go with a fellow hiker or group and discuss he verses and “deeer consideration” questions or thoughts

The Engage Christian Center at Woodcrest is welcoming four different groups from a few people to as many as a group of 20. One reservation is already set for September. Go to the “Contact Us” tab to let us know about your group’s request to use the Engage Retreat Center.

Engage Christian Center is a Texas non-profit corporation. We will be applying for our Federal 501 (c) 3 tax deductible status. A donation button is set-up to receive your donations to help support the programs and enable us to continue to offer the retreat center and the New Korea Prayer Center for individuals, families, church staff and organizations, cell churches and other Christian Ministries and groups.
